Speedball is a fast paced game played on a relatively small field, usually 50 yards wide by 100 yards long. The field is set up as a mirror image so neither team has an advantage. The number of bunkers varies by field as well as the time limit (normally 15 minutes or so). There are two equally manned teams that start on opposite ends of the field. The object is to move the center flag to the opposite teams starting position.
Hyperball is basically the same as speedball except that the bunkers are made with corrugated irrigation pipe (Hyperball Tubing).
An airball field is normally a speedball field made up of inflatable bunkers. These bunkers come in many different sizes and shapes.
There are endless variations of paintball games played today. If you have an imagination, you can come up with your own game variation. The most popular variations today are speedball and X-ball due to the increasing media coverage of tournament circuits.
