Troubleshooting

General Problems
Problem Possible Solutions
Marker will not fire. Tank pressure may be too low. Refill tank.

Battery may not have a sufficient charge. Charge battery.

Angel may be in "Safe" mode. Change to "Live" mode.

Isolator switch may be off. Switch on.

Tab key (LCD'S) is inserted. Remove tab key.

Trigger may be out of adjustment. Check that the trigger contacts and releases the micro-switch. Adjust trigger.

Paintball shell may be jamming bolt forward. Clean breech area.

Ram snap ring may be too tight. Adjust ram.

Pneumatics may not be working. Test pneumatics.

Circuit board may not be working. Test electronics.

Anti-chop system is turned on. Ensure paintballs are present.

Debris in 14-way valve. Remove spool valve. Air up marker. (low pressure will blow out of 14-way) De-gas marker. Swab 14-way clean and re-assemble.

If recently disassembled, ensure circuit board connectors are installed correctly.
Battery will not charge. Ensure all connections are fully seated and the marker is turned on.

Check vehicle voltage. Ensure 12V DC is present.
Chopping paint in breech. Loader batteries may be weak. Change batteries.

Loader too slow for rate of fire. Upgrade loader.

Gated feed may be damaged. Replace insert.

Is anti-chop system on? Turn on.

Anti-chop system not functioning properly. Test system.

Anti-double ball detents not working. Rebuild or replace.

Rate of fire is set too high. Reduce setting.
Breaking paint in barrel. Paintballs too small for barrel. Change barrel.

Anti-double ball detents not working. Rebuild or replace.

Paintballs are too fragile/swollen. Replace paintballs.
Excessive noise/gas consumption Valve dwell incorrect. Adjust as necessary.

LPR pressure incorrect. Adjust as necessary.

Exhaust valve is worn. Replace valve.

Paintballs too small for barrel. Change barrel.
Marker fires slow. Rate of fire (ROF) is too low. Increase ROF.

Anti-chop system set incorrectly. Adjust as necessary.

Loader too slow for ROF. Anti-chop system is slowing down ROF. Upgrade loader.
First shot clicks but does not fire, then fires after that. Ram snap ring is too tight. Adjust as necessary.
Marker is very loud and air is blowing up into the feed neck. Valve dwell is too high. Adjust as necessary.

Velocity Problems
Problem Possible Solutions
Velocity is too high. Inline regulator pressure is too high. Adjust pressure.
Velocity is too low. Tank pressure is too low. Refill tank.

Inline regulator pressure is too low. Adjust pressure.
Velocity is inconsistent. Poor quality paintballs. Upgrade to better quality.

Check barrel/paint match. Change barrel.

Barrel may be dirty. Clean barrel.

Tank pressure may be getting low. Refill tank.

Tank regulator may be inconsistent. Rebuild regulator or replace tank.

Inline regulator seals worn or dirty. Clean or rebuild regulator.

Non-compatible aftermarket parts installed. Install suitable parts.

Bolt may be worn. Replace bolt.

LPR pressure incorrect. Adjust LPR pressure.

Valve dwell incorrect. Adjust as necessary.

Ram stroke incorrect. Adjust ram stroke.
First shot velocity is low. Increase valve dwell.

Leaks
Problem Possible Solutions
Air is leaking down barrel. Tank pressure too low to seat valve. Refill tank.

Inline regulator pressure too low. Adjust as necessary.

Exhaust valve is leaking. Replace exhaust valve.

If valve was replaced, fire marker several times to seat valve to housing.
Leaking between tank pin valve and marker air source adapter (ASA) Bad tank pin valve o-ring. Replace o-ring.
Leaking between tank bottle neck and tank pin valve. Loose pin valve.WARNING! Do not try to remove tank from marker. Release all air pressure from tank. If marker has an on/off assembly, turn off and disconnect air line. Turn on/off back on to release tank pressure. Once all pressure is removed from tank, unthread tank from marker and take to a certified airsmith for repair. DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR YOURSELF!
Air leaking from sight rail. Ram o-rings leaking. Replace o-rings. (most likely cause)

14-way valve leaking. Replace gasket. (least likely) Ensure LPR pressure is not too high.
Air leaking from back plate. Ram o-rings leaking. Replace o-rings. (most likely cause)

14-way valve leaking. Replace gasket. (least likely) Ensure LPR pressure is not too high.
Air leaking from air fittings. Tighten and/or add teflon tape to fittings.
