Description Of Components

Angel Body Body: The body allows for attachment of all internal and external components. Bodies can be milled and anodized in just about any imaginable way.

The body is divided into an upper and two lower chambers. The upper chamber houses the rotor breech, bolt, 14-way valve, ball detent, feed neck, & has threads for the barrel.

The lower left chamber houses the battery and the lower right chamber houses the exhaust valve & body, valve spring, hammer and ram assembly, and low pressure regulator (LPR).

Note: Location of components vary slightly by model.
14 Way Valve 14-Way Solenoid Valve: An electro-pneumatic valve which receives it's electrical input from the printed circuit board and it's pneumatic input from the low pressure regulator. The valve controls the operation of the ram assembly. It is said to get it's name from the number of air passages in the marker for which it feeds.
Angel Valve Valve Spring: This spring holds the exhaust valve closed preventing air from entering the bolt when the marker is not firing.

Exhaust Valve: Is held closed by the valve spring and provides a seal against the valve body.

Valve Body (Guide): Allows air to the bolt when the exhaust valve is open.
Angel Ram Ram and Hammer Assembly: The hammer is connected to the front of the ram. It can be made of brass or stainless steel and is what contacts and opens the exhaust valve.

The ram receives air pressure from the 14-way solenoid valve to fire or re-cock the marker.
Angel LPR Low Pressure Regulator (LPR): Receives air pressure from the inline regulator and regulates it to a usable pressure (80-95 psi depending on model) and sends that pressure to the 14-way solenoid valve.
Angel LPR Shims Low Pressure Regulator (LPR) spring washers and shims: Provides for adjustment of the LPR pressure. Add shims to increase the pressure remove shims to decrease pressure.
Angel Battery Metal Hydride Battery and Car Charger: Rechargeable battery that provides upwards of 400,000 shots per charge. Has an on/off toggle switch mounted on the back plate. Charger works off a standard 12 volt DC car lighter port.

Note: Angel™ LED's and some Angel™ LCD's came stock with Ni-Cad batteries.
Angel Plugs End Caps: These thread into the forward ends of the lower tubes. They provide access to the LPR and battery and seal the chambers. Often replaced with volumizers or Angel™ tool kits.
Angel Bolt Bolt: Housed in the rotor breech and connected to the hammer via a pin. The bolt channels air from the valve to the breech to accelerate the paintball.
Angel Ball Detent Ball or Anti-Double Ball Detent: Prevents more than one paintball from being fed into the breech at a time.

Note: Newer Angels™ come stock with two ball detents. One on each side of the breech.
Angel Backplate Back Plate: Houses the battery toggle switch and provides access to the 14-way solenoid valve, battery, and ram.
Angel Breech Knob Breech Knob: Threads onto the breech locking pin and provides for a means to unlock the rotor breech.
Angel Lockpin Breech Lock Pin: Locks the rotor breech in the closed position. The breech knob is threaded onto the end and spring tension pushes the pin to it's locked position.
Angel COPS Sensor Crystal Operated Paint Sensor (C.O.P.S.) and/or SENSi Anti-Chop system: By design creates a delay in the cycling of the marker when a paintball is not detected in the breech to prevent chopping paintballs. Works in conjunction with the gas diverter plate and activator rod. When a paintball falls into the breech, it applies pressure to the activator rod which is sitting on top of the COPS/SENSi sensor. Depending on the sensitivity setting at the time determines the delay in cycling when a paintball is not detected in the breech.

Note: Angel™ IR3's use COPS/COPS II. Angel™ Speed and 4's use SENSi.
Angel Sensi Rod Gas Diverter Plate and COPS/SENSi Activator Rod: Works with the COPS/SENSi anti-chop systems. The activator rod runs through the gas diverter plate. One end of the rod sits on the COPS/SENSi sensor and the other end protrudes into the breech to detect a paintball.
Angel Eyes Angel Eyes Anti-Chop System: A dual optical break beam system which detects when a paintball is in the breech.

Note: Used on Angel™ Fly and Angel™ Speed 05.
Angel Eye Cover Angel Eyes Cover: Protects the Angel Eyes wiring harness.
Angel Intellifeed Intellifeed Sight Rail: Optional accessory for the LCD & IR3 models which provides for a means of running your loader off of the markers battery and circuit board.
Angel Gated Feed Twist Lock Gated Feed Neck: It does two things. It prevents paintballs from leaving the breech and returning to the loader and provides a clamping force to securely hold the loader in place.
Angel VAA Vertical Air Adapter (VAA) or Flash Tank: Allows air from the inline regulator to enter the marker's air chamber. Connects to the bottom of the marker forward of the trigger frame.
Angel Reg Inline Regulator: Threads into the flash tank and receives pressure from the air tank and regulates it to a usable pressure (Usually around 500 psi depending on model). Also provides for velocity adjustment via a recessed adjustment screw.
Angel Volumizer Volumizers: These allow for the reduction of operating pressure due to the availability of a higher volume of stored pressure. The larger the volumizer, the lower the operating pressure can be.

Note: These only benefit Angels™ that have the low pressure regulator located in the lower left chamber forward of the battery. The volumizer is then threaded into the lower right chamber forward the valve assy.
Angel Spaceframe Space Frame: Patented vertical frame provides for a very unique firing position and comfortable feel allowing for very high rates of fire.
Angel Circuit Board Printed Circuit Board and LCD Screen: The brains of the marker. It receives a signal from the trigger micro switch (and anti-chop systems if installed) to begin (or delay) the firing sequence. Also controls multiple firing modes and user options depending on model and displays the status on an LCD screen.
Angel Speed Screen Speed LED Screen: Mounted to a printed circuit board and provides an LED display of marker status and options.
Angel Trigger Trigger: Highly adjustable trigger allows for the perfect user to marker firing dynamic.
